28 वर्षीय युवा भीली चित्रकार बाबू ताहेड़ का जन्‍म मध्‍यप्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल में हुआ। झाबुआ जिले के पहाड़ी ग्राम गेहलर के मूल निवासी आपके माता-पिता 1980 के दशक में भोपाल आए। बचपन से ही आपको चित्रकला में गहरी अभिरुचि रही।

आप विवाहित हैं और आपकी पत्‍नी श्रीमती संगीता ताहेड़ भी पारम्‍परिक चित्रकला करती हैं तथा आपके चित्रकर्म में निरंतर सहयोग करती हैं। वर्तमान में आप भोपाल में रहकर स्‍वतंत्र रूप से चित्रकला कार्य करते हैं। दिल्‍ली, गोवा, बैंगलोर सहित आपने देश-प्रदेश की अनेक प्रतिष्ठित कलादीर्घाओं में आयोजित चित्रकला प्रदर्शनियों में भाग लिया है।

Curatorial Monograph (English)

28-year-old Babu Tahed is among the most talented young exponents of Bhil painting. Originating from Gehlar village in Jhabua district, his family relocated to Bhopal during the construction of Bharat Bhavan, bringing rich ancestral memory into an urban studio setting.

Alongside his artist wife Sangeeta Tahed, Babu creates radiant canvases distinguished by precise dot work that reflects the Bhil tradition of recording prayers, harvest celebrations, and cosmic gratitude on mud-plastered walls.
